I’m excited to announce that my friend, Dr. Matthew Coombe, and I are now writing on a joint blog together— www.thetruemyth.com
We believe Jesus is the greatest possible hero because he conquers sin and death. He is mythic to the maximal degree. The blog will focus on this aspect of Jesus and we will be taking it many directions. This is in large part an extension of Matthew’s dissertation, but we will be taking it into a lot of different directions.
To begin, we are researching the profane and the sacred and how Jesus perfectly walks the line between the two. I can’t go much further than this, suffice to say we may or may not seek publication of the material as it develops.
